Suge Knight Arrested for Murder

49-year-old Suge Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records, was arrested on Friday for attacking two men with a vehicle after an argument on Thursday. He ran both men over, killing 55-year-old Terry Carter and injuring the other man, former gang member and actor Cle “Boan” Sloan, in the parking lot of a hamburger stand in Compton. Sources say the argument was related to a recent shoot on the set for “Straight Outta Compton.”

51-year-old Sloan was treated for damages to his ankle, both legs, and head trauma. Knight claims that he was being attacked by four men. In an attempt to escape while one of the men tried to pull him out of his Ford F-150 Raptor, he fled from the parking lot of Tam’s Burgers, accidentally hitting the two other men.

Knight was originally being held at a West Hollywood jail on a $2.2 million bail but it was revoked on Monday after homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department petitioned the court stating that Knight was a “flight risk and a three-strike candidate.” They also cited “possible witness intimidation” and Knight’s criminal past.

Knight’s attorney, James Blatt said that Knight was “in fear for his life”, and the he is “confident Mr. Knight will be exonerated.”
