School Bus Aide Steals Lunch Money and Food from Preschoolers

33-year-old Rosa Rios worked as a bus aide for The Sheppard Bus Company for over seven years until she was caught stealing food and lunch money from preschoolers aged 3 to 5 years old.
Rios reported a theft to police of $400. While investigating the theft, a police officer reviewed surveillance video from a school bus on February 4. The officer saw Rios rummaging through the children’s backpacks. Rios allegedly stole lunch money and food from at least 29 children between January and February of this year.
Rios was arrested and charged Friday with robbery and theft. She is being held at the Cumberland County Jail on $70,000 bail.
